Meet the Team
Meet Sal
A Cape Fear local for nearly 15 years, Sal entered the building trades in the late 2010's after realizing an office profession wasn't for him. Sal got his start working for a local high-end, turn-key remodeler. Eventually he transitioned to framing houses for a well-known, upscale contracting outfit.
Sal started Seaside Craftworks in early 2022 following the arrival of his first son, Shae. Sal has a dedicated, lifelong passion for working with his hands. He loves producing high quality creations of all kinds and holds himself to the highest of standards, both personally and professionally.
Aside from his love for his dogs, riding his bike, and his rusty old Toyota, you can probably spot him out in the waves on the better days of surf in the region. Sal and his wife Lauren have called Pleasure Island home since early 2019.
Ty has been a resident of South Eastern North Carolina off and on since 2001. Ty first came to the region as a young Marine, stationed aboard Camp Lejeune where he was first introduced to the building arts as a Combat Engineer.
After being injured he spent time working a wood shop learning the art of woodworking. Later he would go on to become a civilian police officer back at Camp Lejeune working alongside Marines once again. In 2017, Ty earned his real estate license and became an agent at Keller Williams. Eventually, Ty would create his own firm and go out on his own.
In early 2020, Ty hired a contractor to do a major renovation of his home. Lured in by a low price, Ty soon found out what it’s like to be burned by a bad contractor. Due to the builders incompetence Ty found himself having to manage his construction crew. Luckily he worked from home and had free time due to it being the early days of the pandemic. Ultimately, the renovation was completed and it turned out better than expected despite having to deal with a bad contractor. It was during this process that idea if branching out into building became more real for Ty.
In April of 2023, Ty came aboard Seaside Craftworks reigniting his love of building and working with his hands. He loves creating & fixing homes for the people of our area. It’s been some of the most meaningful work of his life.
